This policy explains how Get A Loan ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use this website and its eligibility form. We operate as an information and referral service for payday loan products available to residents of Canada. We are not a lender.
Information we collect
Information you provide
When you submit the eligibility form we collect your first name, last name, email address and phone number, together with your consent record (the version of the consent text you accepted and the time of submission).
Technical information
Our infrastructure records standard technical data: IP address, browser type, the page from which a form was submitted, and anti-robot verification signals (Google reCAPTCHA). We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell personal information.
Why we collect it
- To transmit your request to Loans Canada and its network of licensed partner lenders so they can assess your loan application - this is the sole purpose of the eligibility form;
- To protect the form against automated abuse (reCAPTCHA);
- To keep evidence of your consent, as required by Canadian privacy law;
- To measure aggregate, non-identifying site usage.
Consent
We collect, use and disclose personal information only with your consent, given when you tick the consent box on the form. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at the address below; withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it.
Who we share information with
Form submissions are transmitted to Loans Canada and its partner lenders for the purpose described above. We also use service providers that host our infrastructure and provide anti-robot verification.
We require all recipients to protect personal information consistently with this policy. We never sell personal information and we never share it for purposes unrelated to your request.
Retention
We keep form submissions only as long as necessary to document the referral and your consent, and to meet legal obligations. Records that are no longer required are deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
Safeguards
Personal information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on access-controlled systems located in Canada or in jurisdictions providing comparable protection. Access is limited to personnel who need it to operate the service.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask that inaccurate information be corrected, and withdraw your consent.
We respond to written requests within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial privacy regulator.
Cookies
This site works without advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Google reCAPTCHA, used only on the application form, may set cookies strictly necessary for abuse prevention; they are governed by Google's privacy policy.
